Hi, I’m Adam West, the Senior Leasing Associate at The Sloan at LoSo in Charlotte, NC. My journey in property management has been incredibly rewarding, filled with opportunities to help people find their perfect homes and build a vibrant community. From my early days as a leasing agent in college to my current role, I’ve developed a deep passion for this field. Every day at The Sloan brings new challenges and joys, and I’m excited to share my experiences and insights with you.
A Day in the Life at The Sloan: Behind the Scenes
At The Sloan, my typical day starts with a walk-through of the amenities, model units, and tour paths to ensure everything is perfect for the day’s tours. Conducting tours is a significant part of my role and brings me immense joy. My responsibilities also include administrative tasks such as following up with prospects, approving applicants, managing delinquencies, and coordinating bonuses. Additionally, I work closely with the construction team as our new community is being built, which is a substantial part of my day.
My Journey
My journey into property management began during my college years when I worked as a leasing agent. Balancing my studies with a job in the leasing office, I discovered a passion for helping others find their future homes. This experience ignited my interest in property management, and after graduating, I landed my first job at a brand-new community in Raleigh, NC. The social aspect of the job—meeting new people, planning events, and fostering relationships—has always been a highlight for me.
